Last spring, we wrote about the defeat of Florida’s distracted driving bill. Now some local employers are taking matters into their own hands.
Walt Disney World and Orange County have already enacted policies that prohibit their employees from texting behind the wheel when they’re on the clock. Seminole County is also considering a similar ban. The proposed policy in Seminole County would prevent employees from texting while driving between facilities in a personal or county-owned vehicle.
