A negligent security claim is an injury to an individual as a result of a property owner or manager, having a dangerous condition that they either knew about or should have known about and they failed to correct. For example, if a person is extremely violent and has a history of being violent and an apartment complex manager knew about it and allowed them to continue to stay there, and someone is injured, the apartment complex manager would be liable in that situation.
